Signs of Spring
It was a glorious Spring-like day on Monday, although at this time of year the weather can change so quickly, switching from Winter to Spring and back every other day. Anyway, Monday was Spring! and I took some pictures of the early signs.
The fresh, bright green leaves of the hawthorn are usually the first leaves to appear. So bright and full of promise.
I believe these are the flowers of the Blackthorn. The flowers come out before the leaves and always remind me of snow.
There are lots of buds ready to pop!
This beautiful swan is one of a pair that are always on the lake. I love the lovely curve of his neck and the pattern made in the water by his movements. Just perfect!
